Father James Thaikoottathil, J.C.D., Pastor

Father James Thaikoottathil, J.C.D., is a priest of the Diocese of Norwich with advanced degrees in Philosophy, Theology, History, Pastoral Liturgy, and a Doctorate in Canon Law (summa cum laude). Ordained in 1984, he has served in pastoral ministry for over four decades. In 2007, he was assigned as Pastor of St. Sebastian Church in Middletown and, in 2017, was also given pastoral responsibility for St. John Church following the yoking of the two parishes by Bishop Michael R. Cote. Father James is known for his dedication to liturgy, canon law, and the spiritual care of his parishioners.
